This was our second visit for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent but the experience a little spoiled by two families dining with toddlers who allowed their children to run around, climbing on chairs at empty tables, pulling bark out of the planters, making a racket unchecked by their parents. What BrendaM doesn't like about Formans Restaurant:
The restaurant serves delicious smoked salmon, as you would expect and the starter was excellent. We ordered the halibut and the turbot which were very tasty but were not served hot enough to really enjoy them. The same was true of the mashed potatoes which were lukewarm. The coffee was terrible, but the food was brilliantI had hot smoked salmon with eggs hollandaise (the 'Forman' on the menu) and it was perfect.
Probably the best smoked salmon I've tasted in a whileVery subtle smoke flavour that didn't over power the fish.
I live in Stratford so I'm so happy when I find good food in the area that isn't in the Westfield and I don't have to go central for.
The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and we all had a wonderful evening.
We received excellent service at this restaurant. The salmon dish was absolutely phenomenal! The portion sizes were very generous for the price, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.
