Spent the evening with a few work colleagues in a lovely booth in the cocktail lounge area downstairs and ended up having the best evening I’ve had in a while! The staff are brilliant, the cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere and music from the DJ were great! I work locally so will definitely be paying regular visits to Forge now!! Thanks team!
Amazing bar, good food and nice staff (Gabriel was particularly lovely and welcoming)! recommend!
Came here for a work function, we ordered numerous food tablets and drinks. I wasn't particularly happy, I thought that was ok and the service was ok too. Nothing was great, and for the money we paid, I expected much better./ so said there were some of our party that had a great time, it's a trendy place with louder music, and seems to go the place if they only warm up for one night!
Very disappointing experience. I won’t be returning. The glasses were dirty, the staff seemed unsure of their roles, and one particular employee—a blonde man with long hair—was especially unprofessional and rude. When I pointed out that his colleague had given me the wrong price, he dismissively replied, “There are so many drinks, how can I remember the price?” Additionally, the happy hour menu only included four cocktails, which felt quite limited. Overall, a very underwhelming visit.
Do NOT book your Christmas events here! We booked a Christmas event here for 4pm and at the very last minute they contacted us saying they needed to move our booking to an hour early because they had double booked. We had colleagues flying over from abroad or travelling via train from far and because of the Forges minute change, most of them were late and had no time to get ready leaving the majority of people to run late! When we eventually did get there, we were situated in a basement room and it was very dark and gloomy. The tables were poorly set up and the food was disgusting. For the price you pay you’d expect at least a Christmas cracker, but we were met with food that looked and tasted like it had been microwaved, dirty cutlery and staff running round like headless chickens. The staff members kept coming up to us at 4pm telling us that we had to be done by 6pm because they had a bigger booking arriving and needed to get everything set up for them. No care in the world for our needs, it all just felt very rushed. When we eventually started leaving , another company arrived leaving it to be extremely crowded and longwinded when trying to leave. Very unorganised, low quality just plain rubbish! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
