I made an online reservation but was able to increase the number of guests at my table with a quick phone call. The staff were very helpful. The ambiance was pleasant, with soft background music playing at a low volume, creating a relaxing atmosphere. All the food was served hot and freshly prepared; the breads and rice were delightful. The experience is lovely at Chinipan; friendly staff, very clean, plus a nice small dining room, so not noisy and plenty of attention from the great staff. However the food is not good. Especially when there is stiff competition from the Blackheath Indian restaurants, like Everest, I expect better. We go there mainly for the friendly atmosphere and because children are welcome. We had a wonderful evening at chinipan. Food was fabulous and great service and great ambience. The staff really put themselves out to help us and give us a lovely evening which in fact was my birthday. Highly recommended . We will be returning as soon as possible ,

Went early (6pm) and it was quiet but understand it gets busier later. Was getting busy by the time we left. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food arrived quickly and was excellent . Good portion sizes. Restaurant is clinically clean and perhaps a little too bright . Facilities clean. all round a good meal out. will go again.
