Contribute FeedbackLocated near Gloucester Road, this restaurant offers a mixed experience centered around Asian cuisine. While some diners praise the authentic flavors and friendly service, others find the atmosphere lackluster and the dishes underwhelming despite the upscale prices. The set menu provides a variety of options, with standout favorites like crispy duck and aromatic rice. However, criticisms highlight blandness in many offerings and uninspiring decor. Still, its reputation for excellent express lunches and family-friendly vibes keeps bringing in customers, with recommendations from those who enjoy Southeast Asian fare. Overall, it’s a place with potential but inconsistent execution.
My husband and I visited the restaurant for a quiet dinner we hadn't booked but randomly stumbled upon the restaurant which was a short walk from our hotel. The food was delightful, service was even better and overall the experience was fantastic. A delight for a vegetarian as there were so many options to choose from!
We have been customers for the last 10 years. Even during the pandemic whenever allowed we have continued to eat there. But what have you done??????!!!!! Completely ruined it by moving to the other end of the street. Now it’s devoid of atmosphere and food prices have gone up 50%. Used to be like going home whenever we eat there but now it’s a soulless experience. Stripped of all the decor that made you feel you were in a Kopitiam. Only good thing left are the staff who are friendly and attentive. Bad decision.
The most boring, depressing restaurant I've ever been in! The terrible background music and officious decor are combined with over-priced, unremarkable dishes! Just glad to get out the pace because it just had such an awful atmosphere!
You can never fault the quality of the food , really authentic and very well presented , thanks Kevin and Paul for the amazing food abs my best regards to the chef
I was impressed at the speed with which dishes arrived though my friends did start ordering a few minutes before I got to the table and the tables were generally big enough to have an array of dishes on without taking over! The Chinese New Year menu had some great dishes e.g. mushroom the moss looked like hairball from a drain plug ' ' BUT standout was the Hainanese ? chicken with rice garlic dip!! I opted to have Pu 'reh tea because it seems more appropriate than a glass of wine etc. Very pleasant décor which gives character but doesn 't distract from the food.
