We booked in for the pre-theatre menu which has sufficient choice and is excellent value. The service we received from checking in to leaving was exemplary. The staff were super-polite and extremely helpful. They were keen to understand when we were due at the theatre to ensure we were not late which was very much appreciated. Overall, it was a great meal and lovely experience. View all feedback.
What djw166 doesn't like about Boyds Grill & Wine Bar:
We decided to dine at Boyds before going to the theatre because of their special 2 course offer and their close proximity to the Trafalgar Studios in Whitehall. The offer was £22.50 each for 2 courses, but our final bill came to £94 including service charge, which was unexpected. The wine by the glass was pricey and pre-dinner cocktails were £12.50 each, even though we only ordered single measures. The service was at... View all feedback.
Mediocre but over priced foodShocking £14 for a burger with no sidesDry and blandMeat dishes even more money.
Pork belly was very good! Had a nice salad too! Waitress was extremely nice also.
British tapas chicken liver, foie gras parfait, black and sage scotch ei, sliced bark and I can't remember what else. these are just for starters to share small bites. I didn't like foie gras and encourage the people to eat it, but since it's already on the table, I'll just try. it has turned out that it's going well in the did, never knew that foie grass really tasted good. I used to have it in paris and I hated it. I personally like the pâté with brot, fish if I remember correctly. it has a combination of taste in it and it was really good with the cut baguette.
London is now so full of new restaurants and the places are literally open under my nose without ever noticeing me. sometimes do not know the next opening from the other does not disturb me in the rule, but if there is one with such a Moorian history and Victorian charm, I feel a little sad that I am so late to play. boyds grill wine bar is relatiw new and is located in the grand hotel am metalgar square. expect a lot of copper, gold and marble – mixed with eclectic pieces of furniture and striking chandeliers hanging throughout the room. we started here with a delicious cocktail at the magnificent bar before we interfere in the dining room. two very different experiences that make this place a place that they really do not have to leave – it has everything.
A building with inheritance, 8 northumberland avenue was opened in 1897 as a 500 room victoria hotel. Boyd’s grill and wine bar now takes the dining room in the ground floor of the lobby – a magnificent open space with 20ft-high walls, in verde de prato and sanguino marmor. part of the original hotels of isaacs and florenz, architekten by the connaught, the space was updated with a large central bar and decadent chandelier.
