Blake's excellent restaurant made for a fabulous Valentine's Night. The room is beautifully designed with a fun and lively atmosphere whilst still remaining romantic. There's a great bar which links into the restaurant and it's definitely worth pausing for an aperitif. The perfect place for dinner for 2. The food was first class and the wine list offers a great choice at a wide price range. The service was superb. We... View all feedback.
What Linda Michelsen doesn't like about Blakes Restaurant:
Terrible food deep fried in bad oil that 's been reused many times. They put disgusting greasy, deep fried rice patty as a base for tuna tartar to make the portion look bigger and use less fish. The veal schnitzel is just bread crumps and bitter grease made me feel sick and had to refuse it. For £30 per main and £16 for appetizer such rubbish food is utterly unacceptable. What fine dining is it goes beyond me. View all feedback.
Blakes is chic and trendy with rainy interiors, a relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. the menu of continental European food is full of inspiring options. I had the lobster pasta that was delicious. they also serve artichoke hearts with truffle mayonnaise to nibble what I think is a really beautiful note. a beautiful little garden outside and a small bar in the cellar. I love every moment or occasion. highly recommended!
Chelsea is back and it's all thanks to blakes hotel. the newly renovated dining room is the new place to be together with the underground (literal) bar that they would never know it was there unless someone told them. like to happen. the art deco look is part of the boutique feeling of the hotel. it is dark, sexy and there is even a room in which they can stay that mickey rourke scattered and got blakes so that they can feel like a hollywood insider. on the ground floor is exclusive, but not themselves, they do not spread any lines and chatter is. that's the new chilpers.
Amazing pan Asian cuisine in one of the most beautiful restaurants where I have ever been! cocktails in the bar are after that one must!
Oh, my God, great place for hightea. I really recommend this place. yummie sanwichs. I don't know how many scones I had. it's just so delicious. they must make a reservation so that they have their own bird cage in the garden. so beautiful!
I have been here once for their afternoon tea as recommended by friends. The environment was great the food however was not on par. Since it was not too busy we were led outside into the garden and seated in a private glass room shaped like a bird-cage. The surroundings was absolutely beautiful and serene, a great setting for a meal anytime of the day. When the afternoon tea set arrived through it was not the standard I was expecting, the sandwiches were dry and the desserts like their chocolate cakes were sickly sweet. The set came with champagne and that was probably the best part of the meal to be honest. It was expensive, £40 per head, so I definitely won't be returning soon as...read more
