Contribute FeedbackBistro Union is a cozy and charming neighborhood restaurant located on Abbeville Road, serving up quality British cuisine. Despite some mixed reviews on the food quality, the overall consensus is that the staff is friendly and attentive, providing fantastic service. The atmosphere is pleasant, with the option to dine outside on warmer days. While some diners find the prices a bit high for the portion sizes, others praise the delicious food and recommend dishes like the roast Poussin and the steak for two. Overall, Bistro Union seems to be a solid choice for a casual meal out, especially for those in the Clapham area.
When I booked I hadn’t realised there was a Sunday lunch menu. We were, therefore, a little disappointed at the food on offer. The staff were very obliging and allowed us to order oysters and lobster. The oysters were really good, the lobster a little small too small to share.
Amazing service, delicious food, 10/10. We went on Sunday for the roast and the sirloin was divine. The attentive and personal service was the cherry on top of an already delightful experience.
Fantastic! Would highly recommend. Will definitely be retuning in the autumn to see what is on the menu next. Fantastic wine too.
Good food but not worth the price The dishes were not individually priced just said three courses for £45. I had a snack £6) and two courses. I was charged £40 for the two courses as well as £6 for the snack. The two courses comprised trout with vegetables and two scoops of ice cream. Both courses were very nice but no way were the worth £40. These are Michelin level prices but not equivalent standard of food.
Service was fantastic and staff very friendly. Food was half good half not so. Roast Poussin dish was well tasty, but pork cheek chorizo dish was bland. Dairy free dessert options are just the regular dishes with ingredients removed (or sorbet) which was disappointing, but enjoyable none the less.
