The Falstaff tea is a better choice than the traditional option, which leans heavily towards sweets. Despite the higher price, the delightful atmosphere, delicious food, and thoughtful service make it a worth experience. With an excellent view of the Thames and an attentive staff, it provides a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. The set menu is fantastic value with delicious food, and the special afternoon tea options cater to different tastes. Overall, a delightful restaurant perfect for a special occasion or a relaxing meal.
We arrived early and asked the hostess if we could sit and were pleasantly surprised to learn it. service was excellent as the food was. it was the perfect end of our globe theatre tour. in any case recommend!
The restaurant has not honoured our reservation on opentable. we were turned away and I was told that I had to call if we wanted a reservation next time.
Beautiful restaurant in good location, friendly and professional staff
Afternoon tea-savoury items were great, the scones were beautiful, but the sweets were only surgery with little “Favours” unfortunately the service was terrible. everyone was nice and professional, but we were finally ignored all the time. I can guarantee that if the personal had actually asked if we tied more drinks or deleted the table before we asked for the bill 3 hours in the booking....we would have spent at least 50% more, then we did.
Visiting London for the first time in 15 years, we wanted to enjoy tea with good food and ambience. This was a perfect experience. I had the Gentlemen’s Breakfast and my wife and daughter had the regular Midsummer’s Night Tea. They were both so good. The theming is also very night. It isn’t cheap but none of the teas of this sort are. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
