The location is not a traditional urban winery feel, but more of a wine shop feel. We tasted a few of the wines and ended up with a bottle of rose'. We felt the wine was priced appropriately for what it is. Outdoor space in the courtyard at the shopping center had a cozy vibe. View all feedback.
What Joe Roberto doesn't like about Strange Family Vineyards:
Atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly. However, the wine tasting is incredibly overpriced for what you receive. It is $35/person and the pours are very small, about 1.5 oz per wine…tasting 4 wines. I felt a bit cheated at the amount of wine I received. For $35, there should be at minimum 10oz total wine, considering that an average price of 5oz of wine is roughly $18, give or take. If you do the math for 4 w... View all feedback.
Just not nice people working there. Went on a first/blind date and won’t be doing that again. Would not recommend.
Cute wine place but no food and although it's in a beautiful spot it's pretty empty. The ine was good but they only serve chips and popcorn with it. No cheeses or something similar. They have nice sitting indoor and out in the patio but it's pretty empty even on a busy Sunday.
Spent a lot of time searching for the perfect spot for a glass of birthday wine! Strange family was one of the highest rated in malibu and was on our way home. The woman who served us was very friendly and offered tastings of 2 different chardonnays and a sparkling Pinot noir since we were unsure of what we wanted. I tried a more buttery Chardonnay (but still very light) and a more fruity Chardonnay that was close to a Sauvignon blanc. Since I usually drink savvy baes, I went with the more buttery Chardonnay (Santa Rita hills Chardonnay). It was sooooo delicioussssss I had to take a bottle home! My partner is more of a beer than a wine drinker and didn't say much about his sparkling Pinot noir, but hey he drank the whole glass. This place was REALLY cute and I wish we were able to stay for more than a glass. There were 5-6 separate seating areas each with their own personality: CA beach house chic, rustic wine barrels with industrial stools, a wonderfully lived in leather couch, and two cozy chairs set against a vineyard backdrop with a glowing sun that gave golden hour vibes. You can also enjoy your wine on the outdoor deck complete with a ping pong table. The tasting room is in a bustling location right off PCH and next to the Malibu country mart. We got lucky with parking. My gps dropped the dot in a building over and I couldn't find it right away but just wander around and you'll spot it. Tons of restaurants, shopping, and the beach nearby so drink some wine and go have fun.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and were able to be seated inside easily for a party of 4. Has a trendy atmosphere. We loved Ben, our sommelier. We enjoyed a flight, some wines were a hit and miss with our group but generous pours that were appreciated. Would return
