Unfortunately this location is either not on par with the Bridgeport location or their ordering is different.Lawerences unique breading is of course always awesome but the size of the shrimp were nothing like I remember the last time I had their shrimp in the city. It was almost like a mixture of decent sized shrimp and small shrimp.I grew up going to Lawerences for shrimp and fish chips so I am very familiar with th... View all feedback.
What Patrick B doesn't like about Johnsons Door County Fish Shrimp:
Terrible. This place is not good at all. The fish tasted bad and there was no cocktail sauce. Do not waste your time or money here. Just throw $16+ in the trash instead. View all feedback.
Stopped by yesterday. I had not visited since pre-Covid and when Lawrence seafood had just taken over from Johnson‘s Dour county. Dining room tables were significantly cut 50%. Staff was very rude. I arrived approximately 7:20 pm. Thought I could eat a portion of my order in the dining room and told once I received my food that the dining room was closed. And the people that were in the dining room we’re just “wrapping things up”. I assume they were regulars and I was not. It was unfortunate because the heat of the day. I ordered shrimp with light breading and it was over cooked. It was like eating a tough piece of steak. The cold items seafood sauce, and coleslaw were packed in the same bag with the shrimp. Why wouldn’t they be in separate bags. For hot and cold?I would recommend a little patience from the staff. I understand you might be asked the same questions over and over but it’s the first time I’m asking them
Ordered catfish, cod, perch and shrimp. All tastes like it's been in a freezer for months if not more. Horrible fish taste. Worst seafood I've ever had
One of the best places ever, accidentally ordered the wrong piece for a family member and when i got there they were more than helpful to replace it. would give it 10 stars if i could. The wing zing are beyond amazing!!
I had wanted to try this place a long time ago but forgot about it. Thankfully we were in the area and looking for a lunch spot that wasn't packed on this beautiful Saturday. The interior is quite nice. The white paint and brick is a nice touch. And it didn't feel icky sticky inside. We ordered 1 lb of fried cod, half pound of clam strips, and a side of corn fritters. The food came out pretty quickly. Thankfully it wasn't greasy. The cod fish nuggets were delicious. Succulent, flaky, and flavorful. The clam strips were pretty good. The corn fritters were awesome. Decently moist inside. The sauces they included were packaged, not house-made, so not the highest quality ingredients (i.e. HFCS). The seafood was very good, though, so I could definitely see myself going back.
Service is fast and fresh.Food comes out hot. Super clean and friendly.I recommend the pollack fish and chips. I would give it 5 stars only if they made their own tartar sauce and gave out lemon wedges.Besides that, the overall experience for takeout was good.
