Honestly, the best bar that just happens to be in a neighborhood since feels a bit disrespectful to just call this a neighborhood bar. This would be a great bar in any city. Great bar, great staff, great food, great cocktails. I think that covers it!
Known as “Evanston's Only J Bar” amongst my friends, there's always a great atmosphere and a great time to be had at Ward 8. I tried the walleye fish dip for the first time last night after always giving it the side eye. It was amazing. Other favorites are the cheese board, and the French onion soup. My drink of choice will always be an Old Fashioned, and the giant square ice cube it comes with only adds to its appeal.
Jeremy is a fantastic guy and a great bartender, and the drinks… So so so good!
The new Ward Eight is our new go to spot. Always a good time to be had. Only the best cocktail and spirit selection. Cozy atmosphere and the food… oh the food. Getting hungry just writing about it. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. The owners Jeremy and Juggie are there for you!
