Great atmosphere nice staff my Sreak was overall great place 8 out of ten.
Weekly stop for Steak. The rest of the steak places in Brisbane tried to stay with the best.

Loved the decor, classic pub feel, great selection of whiskey
I went on Saturday night for a dinner and whisky tasting I booked for dinner for my mates bucks night. It was a special set menu. Three course meal with a different whisky to compliment the food for each course. $75 per head which for what we got was amazing value. Had a Japanese whisky with chicken tempura for the entree. Perfectly cooked with a nice sauce and salad with a Japanese whisky that was amazing. Next was an Irish whisky with a bit of kick and smoky flavors to go with one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Oh there was some nice roasted potato sticks/chips and broccoli. There was a steak sauce that had wine as we sort of component to it. I don't usually like red wine sauces so maybe I'm a bit bias on that. Did I mention the steak was amazing? Ok just wanted to be sure. Desert was a pana cotta with ice cream, some raspberries and other seasonal fruits and a whisky I honestly can't remember because I didn't drink it. I was still battling a flu so I couldn't drink any more alcohol. The buck got my shot and he enjoyed it. The lady who was waiting on us (Mel I believe) was very cheery and a warm host. She got all our meat temperatures to convey to the chef and went through the whiskies at each course regarding the characteristics of each one as well as a brief history. The only criticism I could make on the night was the whisky for the steak course did come out some time after our food but considering how absolutely smashed the place was with tables and turning over customers at an absurd rate I can understand a bit of miscommunication. The food quality, the drinks and overall service provided though more than made up for it so I still think five stars is warranted. In the aftermath of the celebrations and as every other attendee as well as the buck has risen from the dead I have since been given high praise for selecting this venue which of course deserves to be passed to the staff of the Morrison Hotel. I have no doubt we will be back in future for friendly gatherings to enjoy your food, drink and hospitality again in the near future. Thanks again for a great night.
