Komachi has been my favorite restaurant for years! The food is outstanding, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I truly have nothing negative to say about Komachi! We adore the manager, Calvin, who always takes great care of us when we visit. I highly recommend Komachi to everyone; they offer a wide variety of options, and everything is delicious! What User doesn't like about Komachi:
My experiences at this restaurant have been quite mixed over the past two years. Yesterday, I went in for some ramen, but my seafood ramen was missing several ingredients that were listed on the menu. They informed me they were out of crab legs, and instead, I received two extra shrimp, which was hardly a substitute. After a long wait, during which my ramen had already gone cold, they finally brought out the fish cak... View all feedback.
Great service, good food, reasonable price. I definitely come back!!
I first came to brunch with my friend and it was such a great experience. The food and wine was great. We had exceptional service. I definitely come back.
Was in Lodi for business and just wanted to find a place to eat. This fascinated me at first glance, so we decided to try it out. Man, we ever felt glad we chose this place! Let's start with the important stuff: the food. We ordered croquettes and negima(? salmon sashimi for appetizers, the Bento Box and the Code.3 Sushi Roll for the main entrée, with a last minute selection of today's special catch of the day nigiri. What can I say about the kisses of the boss?! The croquettes were beautiful thicc and creamy, like a real croquette instead of just roasted potato in the form of croquettes. The salmonashimi was so fresh and tasteful, it was like a wave of enjoyment with every bite! For the Bento box, the included miso soup was made with what I think is yellow or red miso, not white miso, which is usually used to give the soup a much deeper taste, and another type of Umami that you normally do not have or with miso soup. It's still delicious, but I think I prefer white soup. But the meat. That's something else. For the most important entrées of the Bento box we went with Sesame Chicken, Teriyaki Beef and Teriyaki Lachs. The flesh was cut through all the way and almost melts in the mouth. The salmon was cooked for perfection, and the sauce was not done excessively so that we not only get sauce with some meat. The sauce was actually an improvement of the meat. The Code.3 Sushi Roll was like a party in my mouth!? The flavors simply mixed together so well, and ironically good with the mango-limone that I chose for my drink. The little lobster salad next to the role really helped to bring out the aromas of the role, as I indulge the role and the lobster salad in succession. Then finally, the boss of the day-special. We think we ate it mistakenly in the wrong order for our preferences, because it started with strong taste and ended with a light taste (pink to white nigiri, but it still stood so good, independent. It was just so delicious! Finally, the staff was so helpful and attentive, and you can feel the staff wants to be there. It's getting pretty rare nowadays! We love it if we are consistently asked whether we want to refill or if everything goes so far as it shows that the staff wants us to have a good experience with them! It was really on the cake when we met the owner when our most important Entrées came out! I think her name was Sunny? It is quite rare if a owner of a facility can recognize at a glance whether you have been there or not! We learned a lot about Japanese cuisine because of their passion for food. We're definitely coming back!
Great ambiance the people are friendly. Phone in order cutoff is 20 minutes before close, but if going in you can order up until they close.
Sunny, the owner, did an omakase for us and it was -divine-. 18 courses, each topping the last. Freshness and quality clearly matter to them. This is the best sushi I've ever had, in Lodi, of all places... but its true!
