Shelby, was our waitress and she did a great job. We were very lucky in that a very large, and loud group were coming in when we were leaving. Will return again tonight. Very nice dinner the flow was excellent. View all feedback.
What TedB doesn't like about Old Captiva House:
The food was excellent and so was Robin, our server. Unfortunately these positives could not overcome the fact that the a/c in the room we were put in was non-existent, making for a sweaty experience. Later I saw many open tables in the other fully air conditioned room of the restaurant. I can't understand why we were seated in such an uncomfortable room. As a result, I will never return to this restaurant. View all feedback.
Great upscale dining in a historic beach side setting. Food was outstanding and service was great as well. We had a large party, so had a variety of dishes, and no one was disappointed. As silly as it might sound, we appreciated things like the lobster and corn chowder and lobster risotto (which was a side to a main dish, even) actually had generous amounts of lobster. Desserts were also on point to finish, some remarked the creme brulee was the best they've had. Easily some of the best dining in Captiva!

Wife had the Cobia (said it was wonderful) I had the Steak of the Moment (bone-in Filet) it was exceptional. If you are staying in the resort, or just in the area, its a great place for a well portioned and prepared meal. Attire listed as resort casual. I didnt have a collared shirt and it wasn't an issue. Reservations suggested.
Old Captiva House NEVER disappoints. We always have a fantastic meal and the service is exceptional. Robyn was our waitress this evening and highly recommend asking for her to make your experience a memorable one.
