What User doesn't like about Main Street Farm:
I had high expectations for a restaurant that could afford highway billboards and exit signs, but the experience was disappointing. The cafe was cluttered and the tables were too close together. The menu was limited and many items were not available. I ordered a sandwich and soup, which took a long time to be prepared. The sandwich was made with fresh ingredients but was small for the price. Quaint place with a small grocery too. Lots of cider collections in different styles of bottles and snacks and cheeses etc. Seating capacity is rather small and a bit restricted. Our vegetarian members had a brocolli chowder soup each and a Willowemoc vegan sandwich. I had a savory pulled chicken served on a ciabatta bread on a bed of spinach. It was definitely one of the best chicken sandwich type preparations I have had in the US. Wasn't spicy but still suited my Indian palate. The hard cider I had was good too. They did mess up our orders a bit, serving two vegetarian soups instead of one brocolli and one non vegetarian soup. It was OK though. The food was good and it was more like a family joint rather than a professional joint so it happens.
This is a fabulous store and a fantastic cafe. And what was particularly good was the fine matcha latte (Kettl Hujuku for those who know) made expertly. So good, I’m on my second as I write.
This cafe and store is wonderful. We decided to make a pitstop on our way to the Hudson Valley and enjoyed some delicious local coffee and breakfast sandwiches. The staff was very friendly and we were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem!
