Great food and service. Love the menu because it is easy to get back to the basics. There are no new N Fruity stuff. Great atmosphere very large or small table. Spacious restaurant, I don't get a cramped feeling like other places. I fried the chicken oaks. My wife has breakfast Burrito. View all feedback.
Food was very good. Crispy, perfectly grilled toast for club sandwich. Tomatoes and lettuce were fresh. Turkey was carved and roasted. Crispy chicken sandwich was also very good. And of course they’re signature grilled cheese on thick texas-style toast was great. Cherry Coke was made fresh with maraschino cherry juice and three cherries. Place was clean and staff was friendly.

Great service! Especially with two small children, the pancake breakfast was sweet and the server was ingenious to share the children of strawberry shake (which they blown up) without having to ask a second cup. The BLT with avocado was delicious. Server to point with my refills.
I mean, living in the eastern bay, and an ex-crease, his Mel is every day. My balls Benedict tasted great. My ash-browns were beautiful and crispy, but they hardly gave me anything. Left hungry. The food is good, but the portions are meager. Next time I order 2 breakfast, no joke.
My chocolate malt was excellent and went well with the Monte Cristo Sandwich. For some reason it was made with American cheese and pineapple, but I like the fried style. Cole slaw was fine, but the Mel's potatoes were excellent, and there are some striking menu options like a San Francisco Scramble that you don't see anymore. Fast, friendly and accurate service, reasonable prices and perhaps especially for a breakfast place, reasonable waiting. The decor is funny Kitsch, with great photos. This restaurant works as if it's been going for years, not days, which is incredibly impressive, as it still mixes bags of concrete. They don't have any alcohol license yet, but there'll be beer on tap if they do.
