drinking was good. the personal is very friendly. eating was just ok. highlights are the baked flower charcoal. the aguachile rib 48) was in a lemon sauce which was good to season and exaggerate the meat. the black garnel and chorizo had good taste, but it was more like a Portuguese linguika not a chorizo 30). beautiful place to hang and have a good time. service was excellent. eating was just ok View all feedback.
Livermore is one lucky place to have such an incredible restaurant! From the minute you walk in and are greeted by Chef Eduardo and Jorge the Sommelier and the friendly staff, this restaurant becomes more than a place to wine and dine. It is a mix of class and comfort and they make you feel like you are part of a family every time you visit. We felt like royalty! We had one of their specials and the steak and prawns and every bite of the avocado, roasted corn, and poblano chili they decorated them with were cooked and displayed to perfection. The suggested wine pairing was the Chateau des Laurets Bordeaux blend. It tamed the chili while enhancing the red meat with strong tannins. We polished off the meal with the blueberry mousse and left so very full and happy! Our precious waitress, Amber, made great conversation while educating us about the amazing assortment of wines in the cellar, our wine choice, and the food. She kept the evening lighthearted and made sure we weren’t missing a single element of this dining experience to assure a perfect evening.I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more! We love the people, the food, and the wine, and are thankful Posada has chosen be in Livermore for us!
The South-Western cuisine at Posada is absolutely fantastic. Despite facing the challenges of the pandemic over the last two years, my wife and I have always found comfort in dining at Posada. The food and service are truly phenomenal. On Mother's Day, we were blown away by the creativity and delicious flavors of the appetizers and entrees we ordered. Our server, Ody, was professional and friendly, and the owners, Eduardo, Blanca, and their son, Alexsis, always make us feel welcome. We consider them to be sincere friends. The guacamole blackened shrimp appetizer was recommended by our server and it did not disappoint. The king ranch enchiladas, blackened shrimp tostadas, and Mahi-Mahi tacos were all beautifully presented and bursting with fresh and complex flavors. Eduardo Blanca's creativity is evident not only in the food, but also in the ambiance of the restaurant. Posada is truly a gem in the Tri-Valley area. We look forward to returning for another delicious meal. Thank you to the Posada family for a wonderful dining experience.
Posada is our top pick for dining in the Tri-Valley area. The food is amazing, especially their delicious appetizers and always-changing main course options. The owner is always checking in on guests and ensuring everyone has a wonderful experience. Whether it's a special occasion or just a regular weeknight, dining at Posada is always a great choice.
I am completely amazed by the food at Posada! The bartender recommended the enchiladas, and they were absolutely amazing. My partner enjoyed their cocktail (I believe it was called She Devil), and we were tempted to try the jalapeño margaritas that the bartender was constantly making, but we had to drive home.
