Very disappointed with Tommy's lunch. The "grilled" fish didn't look like it was grilled. Fake mash

Since our last visit there were new cooks, and we were hopeful of a better experience. My family of 4 went for lunch and left disappointed. The medium rare steak was burnt on the outside. The chicken burger had a funky taste. The expensive fresh fish was cooked beautifully, but the accompanying fake mash let the meal down. I made a complaint and it was received well by the attentive waitress. She arranged an amount of money to be deducted from the final bill. Despite this, I won't be in a hurry to return.

Bought a fish and chips, and they give you a small device that beeps when your food is ready. An awesome innovation but I'd prefer if it was not as loud. Great food, delicious salad with not too much dressing. Very filling and satisfying meal.

Good range of beers and some decent red wines as well. Food was okay also. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and were willing to listen when making a cocktail they hadn't made before, which makes things so much easier. Had a great night there, thanks guys.
