Thornburys - Lisburn

Fantastic venue, food excellent, hosts excellent, great service, value for money, and great entertainment... highly recommended .. 10/10..well done, just what lisburn needs

Having read a professional review, on another forum, suggesting this was the best place for breakfast in Lisburn I decided to give it a whirl. Basically, it all depends what you are looking for; this is a cafe with lot's of precooked food sitting on a food warmer waiting to be served. You queue up, point out your meal of choice, pay and enjoy. We ordered 3 x 6 piece fries, 2 cups of tea and a flat white coffee. It all came to the grand total of £17. The food itself was nice enough for the price, the staff were mostly friendly and the surroundings were pleasant. I went here a little unprepared, I didn't have a budget in mind, my goal was to experience the best breakfast in Lisburn. I suspect I may have got the best value breakfast for the money rather than the best breakfast in town.

First time being in since the lockdown, what a glow up! The new owners have transformed the place and has a much more welcoming atmosphere now! The desserts are hard to resist and staff are extremely accommodating! Will deffo recommend

Unfortunately, the food and service at this restaurant were both terrible. The dishes were either overcooked or too cold, with some parts even being uncooked. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they were unresponsive, although they did refund most of our bill. This wasn't the first time we have had a bad experience with the service here. We will not be returning or recommending this place.

On my visit yesterday, I ordered a cheeseburger and chips. Unfortunately, I later experienced symptoms of food poisoning. I had not eaten anything else after my meal at Thornbury’s, indicating that the food there was not cooked properly. Additionally, the staff forgot to bring us the tray bake we ordered and paid for. I used to be a fan of this restaurant, but after these experiences, I can confidently say that there are much better dining options in Lisburn.
