Visiting our old neighborhood in Rua Sao Paulo in Cais do Sodre, we got hungry and we visited Bica San restaurant, and I have to say the experience was unparalleled. The food was exquisite! It is a marriage between Portuguese and Japanese food which actually goes back a long way to the 16th century. The Sakana do dia was so good, that we ordered another one! The Mil folhas de batata e nori, sésamo e cebolinho was to die for! We also had 2 desserts, the Rabanada com creme de matcha (you have no idea! The taste was amazing! and please do not miss the opportunity to taste a dessert that is out of this world: Smoked yogurt cream, cucumber and shiso granita ......there are no words for that one! The food in general was an experience. But the best part of the dinner was Ugne. Her knowledge on the wines, her attitude, her personality in general deserves 5 stars! She offered an excellent service and I don 't know who needs to hear this, but you are very lucky to have her in the restaurant!
