Was Anonym at Valle Flor a mag?
The dining experience itself was amazing. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food tasted wonderful. We ordered the 5-course menu and it was more than enough food with an excellent choice of wines made by the sommelier. My favorite was the Francesinha in the hotel way which was a great and delicious surprise. It is pricey, but definitely worth it. View all feedback.
What Navfish dislikes about Valle Flor:
The service was very attentive and distinguished. The wine list was reflective of the incredible surroundings. It is definitely a nice place. The food was generally well seasoned and had good presentation. Unfortunately, both dishes (swordfish and the quail) were over cooked, dry, and cold by the time that they reached our table. We stayed at the Pastana Palace for a week. Ate at the Valle Flor once. The food and service are good, but if you consider the prices there is better value for money in Lisbon. The ambiance (eating in a real palace) is a unique experience though.
Food and setting absolutely an experience. They stayed late to make sure we got to enjoy our experience
As the restaurant was not busy this was disappointing. It seems that the kitchen is far away. Our eighth dinner in Portugal and by far the worst in terms of food quality. Great service and decor though. We will not go back.
I arrived in Lisbon 10 days ago for a holiday. And, inside the Pestana Palace Hotel I found a a gem of bar called Bar Allegro. Over the next 10 days I ended my days after touring Lisbon a magnificent city by stopping into Bar Allegro for a nightcap or two. After the second night the staff like Cheers (I live in Baa-ston) started calling out my name from the moment they saw me. I want to thank Ali, Bernardo, Sergio and Francis for their impeccable service and the camaraderie that they showed me over the past 10 days. They helped me learn about a Portuguese liquor called Ginja. Which goes well with a Super Bock beer. They also suggested that I try their tomato soup which was outstanding
An Unforgettable Experience at Valle Flor. Our stay at the Pestana Palace Hotel was made exceptional by the outstanding dining at Valle Flor restaurant, delivering impeccable service from breakfast to dinner. The breakfast buffet is extraordinary, offering both buffet and à la carte options. The Belgian waffles are absolutely to die for, and their amazing chocolate cake honoring the Valle Flor Marquis is a standout highlight. The omelet live station adds a personalized touch that elevates the morning experience. Outstanding Service. The staff truly sets Valle Flor apart. Hostess Paula welcomes you with genuine warmth, while Vera and her colleagues consistently ensure satisfaction. Special mention goes to Rubén, who remembers your preferences, making each visit feel personalized and special. For dinner, Rita provided exceptional hosting, Luis and his assistant Gomes delivered attentive service, and bar team Bruno and Nuno offered expert recommendations that perfectly complemented our meals. Must-Try Dishes. For dinner, highly recommend the quinoa salad (fresh and flavorful), bean soup (perfectly seasoned comfort food), and beef fillet (cooked to perfection).
