We ordered the 5-course menu and it was more than enough food with an excellent choice of wines made by the sommelier. My favorite was the Francesinha in the hotel way which was a great and delicious surprise. It is pricey, but definitely worth it.

The food and service are good, but if you consider the prices there is better value for money in Lisbon. The ambiance (eating in a real palace) is a unique experience though.

Over the next 10 days I ended my days after touring Lisbon a magnificent city by stopping into Bar Allegro for a nightcap or two. After the second night the staff like Cheers (I live in Baa-ston) started calling out my name from the moment they saw me. I want to thank Ali, Bernardo, Sergio and Francis for their impeccable service and the camaraderie that they showed me over the past 10 days. They helped me learn about a Portuguese liquor called Ginja. Which goes well with a Super Bock beer. They also suggested that I try their tomato soup which was outstanding
