A very go... read more This is the best place to eat sushi in Lisbon. Try the top 4: ebbi delight, gunkan taco, gunkan white, gunkan MR. The staff is very helpfull and kind. A very good restaurant, although it's a bit pricey, specially attending to the portuguese average restaurante's prices.

I was told about Sushic lon... read more After I visit certain places I need to check and recheck the reviews from other customers to confirm we all went to the same place ! I was told about Sushic long ago being the best sushi place outside of Japan according to tripadvisor but I didn’t take it seriously, obviously. You see, tripadvisor provides you with the most amazing ranks when comes to “best” something. It goes from real good to real bad. So I decide to ignore the rumors. Then Sushic was talked again when they open the 2nd location the other river side and lately a famous blogger couple makes a nice review from Sushic main location – Almada , so I decide to give it a try. As I couldn’t find time to “travel” to Almada I decide to try the new and 3rd location here in Mercado de Algés, Lisbon. What a bad idea ! I tried the fusion dish and the sashimi dish 11 pieces each and 14€ and 13€ respectively The fusion is all based on fruits strawberries, kiwi and sugary niguiris and gunkans, accompanied by 3 slices of salmon sashimi ?!? – isn’t this a fusion dish ?? The sashimi was based on 3 and that’s all they had fishes available – tuna, salmon and permit I assume it’s the name Trachinotus falcatus – pampo in popular Portuguese decorated with spring onions and some black fish eggs. To understand the level of the sushi chef in charge of the place, they had lean tuna akami and mid fat tuna chu toro but they didn’t knew what chu toro was and what was the difference clearly different at sight . The salmon and permit were acceptable but the tuna was low quality. No ponzu sauce probably they didn’t heard about it either . Overall this was a big deception. Now the issue is should I still give it a try on the main location Almada and ignore the poor experience I had here ?
