We reserved a table on trip advisor and showed up to the restaurant with a confirmed... read more My friends and I were visiting Lisbon and were interested in trying pizza. We reserved a table on trip advisor and showed up to the restaurant with a confirmed reservation. When we arrived the hostess turned us away even after we had showed her our confirmed reservation. Not sure if us being American was the problem or if they just overbooked the reservation, but it was extremely disappointing. :

The hostess claimed our reservation wasn’t reserved, even though we had proof of conformation. We were quiet and respectful, but we were speaking English which seemed to draw attention from the waiters and clients. After we were leaving, we saw the hostess apologizing for our behavior. They were very rude and practically pushed us out the door.
