They brought tuna pate and brea... read more We ate inside, because although the view from their outside tables was lovely, the weather was cool and threatened to be breezy. They brought tuna pate and bread to the table. We checked the price on the menu and decided we would eat it as well as ordering cod fish cakes as appetiser and grilled sole for mains. Tasty food and friendly helpful service. The coconut cake pudding was delicious and the white wine from the Douro really nice. We will return.

And... if you read other comments she is not the first... DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

But shortly after sitting down, we realized tables on both sides of us were already complain... read more We were drawn to this restaurant because of its location and views. But shortly after sitting down, we realized tables on both sides of us were already complaining about service and their food. So it wasn't surprising when our meals arrived late...and my friend received hers uncooked! I ordered a vodka/soda which arrived warm, without ice or a lime...and the soda was flat. At the end of the meal, we had to ask for the bill three times! Once it arrived, we noticed that we were also charged for the bread and packaged butter which we didn't order. But at that point, we were so eager to leave, I just signed the bill and left. Unfortunately the experience didn't end there, as within hours, both of us had stomach pain. Not the way I wanted to end the evening. On a positive note, because of this terrible experience, we asked our concierge for a recommendation the next night. He recommended Clube de Fado, for dinner and a show. Loved it!!

It is a tiny, cosy restaurant with very enthusiastic, friendly staff and lovely food. If you love meat, we recommend the filet mignon on hot stone.

Don’t be put off by the large number of tourists here: this place is legit, and the one restaurant where we break an Atlas rule: don’t dine at places where they beg you to come in.
