Just a quick note to say a big thank you the entire team at Sala de Joao Sa. We had a wonderful evening and it was the perfect choice to celebrate my landmark birthday. The food was simply divine and they accommodated my gluten and diary allergies beautifully without feeling that I was loosing out on any of the special dishes, tastes and flavours. Without doubt, one of, if not the best meal we have ever had!! A special mention to the front of house team who looked after us so carefully and thoughtfully including Laura, Pauline and Lea for choosing some beautiful alcohol free accompaniments, guiding us through each dish arriving at the table and making us feel at home throughout. It was also very special that we got to visit the kitchen, meet and have our photo taken with the chef team. Overall a very special experience which will live long in our memories. Thank you again guys, Lucie and Tom. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner

Amazing experience from start to finish. The restaurant is cozy, warm, and inviting. The service is perfect: everyone is friendly, attentive and very welcoming. Special thanks to Nuno for the nice chats between courses! The most important part: the food. Every dish was lovely, surprising, delicious and beautifully presented. Muito obrigada! Sála is the best new restaurant I have been to in not an exaggeration years. We couldn't not eat some of the choices on the menu and ended up making our own degustation menu, and it was amazing. The food was perfectly cooked. There were a few surprises in the creation of the dishes (suffice to say that we didn't know the form of what we would be eating beforehand) which were all absolutely delicious. The service was nice and zero intrusive, providing insights at the right time (and listening to ours). The whole room is extremely cosy and inviting to stay a bit longer, and we clearly overstayed our welcome and sat for an extremely long time. I hope this place gets the recognition it deserves and as for me, I will return for sure and I hope very soon.

A cozy restaurant on a quiet street, this was another wonderful find in Lisbon. You have a few tasting menus with the possibility of wine pairing that I have chosen. The meals were beautiful, creative and naturally delicious. I enjoy enjoy enjoying every bite and preventing the explosion of flavors. The Sommelier chose wines throughout Portugal for my joy. The price was quite reasonable for quality and service. It was the perfect dinner to complete my visit to Lisbon.
