Was Taughboyne at Manolo Buraco Snack a mag?
Several rows of tables were placed outside on the sloping street but we decided to have lunch in the small inside space on a breezy and drizzly afternoon. The ceiling is a cupola-like space lined with patterned red bricks that is perhaps the restaurant' most distinguishing feature. Generous portions of decent pork escallops and salad were served by a pleasant and efficient waitress. Two very tiny toilets at the back... View all feedback.

What glossygoddess dislikes about Manolo Buraco Snack:
I stopped here for a snack while wandering around. I typically avoid Rossio but O Manolo was fine for a quick bite.I had strawberry juice, bread, and a bifana. It was my first bifana and I really enjoyed the seasoned pork on a delicious roll. Juice was good. Appreciate the outdoor seating. If you need a quick bite, this place is fine. View all feedback.

Omelet was not bad, French fries okay, but grilled cod was severely disappointing. It was overcooked and dry and overpriced for mediocre quality and service.

Found this lovely little cafe whilst out looking for somewhere to eat, looked homely, basic and comfortable. It suited us just fine. It is a cafe style restaurant which serves alcohol and has seating inside and outside, we chose to sit inside. If you sit outside you have the view of the beautiful-looking antique elevator, Elevador de Santa Justa. There is waiter service. I had cheese omelette, chips and a side salad of tomatoes, my partner had loin and chips. We ordered a carafe of house red wine, it came in a large water jug! It was most pleasant, and a decent drop of local wine! The staff are friendly, the cook is also the wife, so all the food is delicious, home made fare. It appeared to be used by locals, I think we were the only tourists in there. The premises has toilets at the back of the restaurant. The television was on, but it wasn't a distraction, it provided us with some amusement as the programme was quite a comic game show! Easy to follow procedures even though we couldn't understand the language! The cafe/restaurant is worth looking out for.

Dont go. Rippoff prices (6 euros for a bottle of beer), beer tasted like pipe cleaner and service was not nice. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
