Was Anonym at Estrela Do Marechal a mag?
A Saturday night in February and I was the only guest, but the place was not boring at all. The host was friendly, errants were run, food was prepared. I would summarize it as: cosy, friendly, alive. No, I didn't take the cheese that was put on the table, and instead went for the dried tuna. This appeared to be a delicious dish with razor thin slices of tuna, capers and grapes a surprising combination of tastes. The... View all feedback.

What alexforder dislikes about Estrela Do Marechal:
Their €14 menu was overpriced. Portions were small and some overly greasy. The waiters were friendly, but rather pushy with drinks and desserts, not included. Hot drinks are included, but tea isn 't. Also, the only accept Portuguese credit cards On a positive note, the staff did offer to change the overly greasy dish and spoke good English. There was also a selection of food for vegetarians. Overall, I felt slightly cheated, by this potential tourist trap. I didn 't hear much Portuguese from the other diners.

No bland food here. We stumbled across this restaurant on a rainy Sunday afternoon and were quickly surprised by the friendly service and English menu which listed many dishes that sounded quite different to the usual fare. We were very impressed with the food when served, so tasty and flavoursome but not huge portions which we appreciated so that we had room for dessert! We also liked the atmosphere, so cheerful and welcoming while the weather outside was cold and raining. We will definitely be returning before we leave. Don't miss it you won't be disappointed.

It's a really nice place to try some delicious portuguese dishes with a twist while enjoying the company of friends, a great place to start your evening or night at Santa Catarina/Bairro Alto. Marta and Helena are really nice hosts and will have no problem communicating in english, french or spanish.

Modern, clean decoration, with a friendly environment. The service is assured by the owners, two sisters who speak english and work hard to keep clients satisfied. You get to see the cook doing her magic behind the counter, and everything comes out very quickly. Try the chicken and seafood brochettes. Delicious!
