An attractive wooded area with lots of locals having picnics and there was even what looked like a public barbecuing facility. This little bar/cafe was excellent- friendly staff, chilled vibe and the white sangria (my first time to try) was delicious and a bargain at 2 Euros a glass!

The park's name is Parque José Gomes... read more Not far from the airport or busy Segunda Circular, a small paradise can be found in a small park in the Alvalade district. The park's name is Parque José Gomes Ferreira, but is better known as Mata de Alvalade. In the east side of the park, a small bar can be found. A bar that serves great natural juices and amazing Sandwiches. All in wonderful environment that's still unknown to most of the inhabitants and visitors of Lisbon. The prices are excellent. A gigantic mixed toast, that easily serves two, costs 6 euros.
