Was rosieg4 at Ceia a mag?

Went to Ceia not knowing much about how it would work and was a bit worried initially about the request for us to become friends with others on the table who we had never met before but it truly was the most warm experience with wine and delicious bites of food flowing freely, “Evil” and Eric on hand to help with any questions. The time flew!! It was nearly midnight when we left to go for another drink with new frien... View all feedback.

There was a little hiccup with our reservation but they went above and beyond to make it right. We ended up having lunch. Lunch concept is a bit different, still an intimate dining experience. There’s a starter, main and dessert with a few you can choose from. My group shared so we tried everything on the menu for the day and everything was delicious. The service was personable, warm, and we felt very taken care of. Will absolutely try to make it for dinner another time. Thank you for everything! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've dined at numerous high quality and Michelin starred restaurants over the years and I can say that this is the best yet. The food and the paired wines were outstanding. However, the concept and the story behind the food, with each course introduced by the chef that prepared it, added that extra dimension. You are on one table of 14 (only 8 of us on the evening we dined); English is the common language of the evening. There is a sommelier and a host that help break the ice with all the guests. The sommelier, of course, will introduce each wine with each course so you get the double whammy of the chef and sommelier describing what you are about the eat and drink. There is only one menu. You don't get to see it until the night, albeit they did cater for one vegetation on our sitting. And the theme revolves around the food produced at the owner's farm (in Southern Portugal). So the menu will be seasonal. The wines were all Portuguese including some that are not available for commercial purchase. All in all, an outstanding evening the best food I've ever had in a unique setting. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Had dinner here with good friends, Evo made us feel welcome and at home. Dinner was amazing and the conversation with strangers at the table was an experience in and of itself. (Traducido por Google) Cené aquí con buenos amigos, Evo nos hizo sentir bienvenidos y como en casa. La cena fue increíble y la conversación con extraños en la mesa fue una experiencia en sí misma.

What an incredible dining experience. The food was absolutely exceptional and the service was top tier. I can’t recommend this place enough. I will definitely go back here again. It’s worth flying all the way back to Lisbon just to be able to eat here

Ceia caught our interest by reading the concept of portuguese hospitality and sharing a table with friends. So we decided to give it a go and were not disappointed, right by the opposite. The concept behind is quite simple: up to 14 guests have the possibility to sit together at one table and being hosted by the fantastic crew around (then) chef Pena Bastos. I`m saying then, because on our visit it was his last day leading the team. The welcome was a bit like coming to a friends home and that is clear intention. We felt cozy and well received and apart from the point that the parties around the table kept a bit to their owns, the way Ceia`s team treated us was very welcoming. We even had the chance to walk around and look into the kitchen and talk to the staff. Regarding the dishes, i don`t want to go too much into details, but everything was well prepaired, with seasonal ingredients of best quality. The taste was mostly amazing and beyond our expectations. For wine lovers, we heard from the other guests, that the pairing was well selected. We had a non alcoholic pairing, that ist also offered, and have to say that we can agree that it is equally well selected. Even beetroot juice that we had, and i`m not a particular fan of it, was very good. At the end apart from having the possibility to chat with the team, every guest gets the menu when leaving Thank you very much!

The restaurant is located in a building without a sign outside, presumably to enhance it's allure. Dinner begins only when the last guest arrives, so don't bother coming in on time. The food is fine, though the portions are small and the whole affair takes quite some time. Service is decent with detailed explanations accompanying each course. In my opinion the other reviews are a bit over the top.

Hosted in a stunning space in the cool art district near Lisbon Castle, Ceia is a superb open table experience. I couldn’t fault a single dish or wine that was served during the two and a half hours or so we spent being lavished with incredible service. The atmosphere was relaxed we were served welcome drinks and canopies in a reception room as we lounged on sofas, before being moved through together with 10 other diners from around the world into the lovely dining room. I lost count of the dishes which were served, which included a miniature beef and caviar taco, miniature mushroom tart, mackerel salad, fresh oyster, melt in the mouth lamb, selection of desserts each one was so beautifully presented that I almost felt bad eating it! I had also opted for the wine pairing option for an extra fifty euros, this was a good choice as we were served with a range of fabulous Portuguese wines. The staff were young, fun and knowledgeable and added greatly to the evening. There was also the chance to go into the kitchen and watch the chefs in action, which was a nice touch. Just a sensational evening well worth the 100 euro per head price.

If you get lucky in having lovely neighbours at the long table where you all sit together you will have a great evening just as we did. The chef and sommelier entertained us with their knowledge and delighted us with their food and wine pairings.

From the moment you arrive and you are greate by Pedro and Miguel with Well come to Ceia , until a visit to the kitchen and a final hug, everything flows with flavors exploding in your palate. Well-chosen wines, which nobody could find in their phones because they come from small producers complete the setting. All the dishes are explained and the team is always at our disposal, even if we want to burs into the kitchen before the end of the meal.

My husband and I were recently married at Santa Clara 1728 and we were lucky enough to enjoy a wedding dinner prepared by the Ceia team. We were completely blown away by the artistry of the food and the care they take in selecting ingredients. This place is an absolute must for anyone traveling to Lisbon!! Thank you Ceia

The experience at Ceia was so wonderful and warm. This was our family’s first shared dining experience at a communal table. Not only did we learn about food and wines, we also learned to share joy and laughter with new friends. We really enjoyed every aspect. We highly recommend the experience. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Alexander, Mario, and Pedro, for making our evening so memorable!!

For anyone who’s thinking of attending this... I am seriously not exaggerating when I say, this was truly the best dinner I had in my whole life. This was the most unique dinner experience, the loveliest most calming, classiest atmosphere I have ever experienced. Surrounded by all those interesting people from all over the world, these beautiful extremely well knowledged chefs, whom are all adorable and real passionate artists. No words on earth can describe the taste of the individual selected dishes. The flavour of each ingredient is an experience. The presentation of each course is out of this world. I was thinking of not going but my partner convinced me to go, I am so thankful that I was able to experience something like this and share my appreciation with these wonderful human beings. This is truly something and will always stick to my mind when thinking of Lisbon. Thank you.

This closed door restaurant is a unique experience. this is not suitable for non-social guests, as there are a maximum of 14 guests at the table. they must be on time as they close the doors. it is a very intimate experience as they are welcomed in someone's house. our hostes were softly spoken, knowledgeable about the fantastic local weine paired with each dish, and told a story during dinner. all the dishes were exquisite little teller, with local fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation, delivered by the chefs simultaneously. the flow of the courses was perfect and the mood in the beautiful environment was relaxed, elegant and entertaining. it helps good evening dinner talk partner.

The pictures don’t do it justice. Just… try it out. The food and the story behind it: marvellous. The host will let you feel at home the moment you step in. It’s a whole experience but be prepared to stay until around midnight.
