Was PuntaMitaMiguel at Bel'empada a mag?
This is a simple neighbourhood restaurant, simple and convenient. I was surprised by the menu which has a variety of very classical Portuguese dishes. Its ambitious to say the least. We tasted the empadas which were very tasty and light, but in my opinon did not have enough meat. I enjoyed my chicken cabidela very much. It was perfect, just with the right amount of vinegar. What tripslog dislikes about Bel'empada:
Didn't like it. The food was super salty. The pies that were supposed to be the house specialty weren't impressive (tasted not fresh and a bit dry as they were a couple days old). The dishes of the day were all fried fish which is never a good indicator of the freshness of the food... We also ask for some condiments to be added on the salad (like nuts or almonds) and they did have any. I like to be fair in my reviews... View all feedback.

This restaurant/café is known for its pies. In fact, they are quite good although there are places in Lisbon where one finds better ones. The good thing is the wide variety of stuffing. Also the lack of kindness is something to point out, contrasting with most places in Portugal where the staff is very kind. Enjoy!
Excellent beef cheeks and hare with haricot beans plus sprouts and rice and great red from north Portugal, Doros I think. Waiter very helpful. Deserts were beautiful too, we had an orange pudding and the waiter in this small restaurant gave us a sample of the pumpkin and almond traditional dish. A regular group of 15 were coming later at 10.30 and another group of 5. We got there early At 7.30, he had to turn others away before we left. Great home cooking style food, handy to where we were staying at Lutecia smart design hotel.

We tasted the empadas which were very tasty and light, but in my opinon did not have enough meat. I enjoyed my chicken cabidela very much. It was perfect, just with the right amount of vinegar. We also had a tasty dish of pork cheeks and a well cooked seared fresh tuna. For dessert the apple tart was a great choice. Not a lot of history on a meal that was simple, but comforting. Service was ok. Friendly but not very efficient considering the small space of the restaurant. Overall was a very good experience.
This is a neighborhood restaurant. The decor is nothing fancy, but the food is very good, home cooked. The service is ultra friendly.

I like to be fair in my reviews, so when I don´t like the experience I had, I always confirm with other people that were there with me if they share the same thoughts. So, this was not just my experience. It was confirmed by other people as well.
