We were staying in the Eurostars Museum Hotel in Lisbon, and it started to rain. We had eaten out most nights to date, being 4 evenings. Meals were to good and... read more We were staying in the Eurostars Museum Hotel in Lisbon, and it started to rain. We had eaten out most nights to date, being 4 evenings. Meals were to good and no real problems. We didn’t have anywhere booked to eat which can be a mistake, the day before, I walked up hill for half a mile to the Alpendre, which we were told you couldn’t book, and which had a good score on Trip Advisor, to be asked have you booked ? no I didn’t think you could book? well you will have to wait outside behind the others ..... sorry, I wont be doing that! so, we decided to try the hotel’s restaurant, Atlantiko. We were sooooooo glad we did! A friendly greeting and we were asked would you like a drink before your meal?” A gin and tonic arrived, but not as you would know it, and a vodka and orange. These were stunning with a brilliant gin and fresh orange juice with the vodka. We were shown through to the restaurant and my immediate thoughts were, this is going to be costly ...... How wrong I was. The meal and the drinks together with some nice wine was on par with what we had been paying the previous nights, but.......! how different it was. Stunning food and service. Can I say that if you would like a great meal on comparable prices, then you should try the Atlantiko, you will not be disappointed.
