This was the worst meal of our vacation. The waitress never cracked a smile and seemed deeply put upon (in her defense, we moved some chairs to get out of the hot sun, but in *our* defense there was only one other patron so we didn’t inconvenience anyone, and we moved them back without complaint when she asked us to) The food was almost inedibly salty, and the grilled sardines had off flavors. The fish is very fresh and the staff is friendly. the score it has is too low...it deserves much more. Go there ... believe me I know about fresh fish
This is one of the last Portuguese owned and run eateries near the cathedral. The family that runs it is from the Alentejo. They serve real Portuguese food no Italian options for a very fair price. It might look simple, but if you spend thousands to come to Lisbon why pay for fake Portuguese cuisine? This is the place to support and enjoy!

If you only eat at one restaurant while in Lisbon make sure it’s this one!! From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly and shown the menu. The biggest problem was there were too many delicious things to choose from! It is a family own restaurant, and our kind host introduce to us his elderly mother in law who is still cooking the food and family recipies. Thank you for your fantastic service ! 10/10 !
