Ogalo - LINDFIELD

Hey~your first review on YelpOn yeah, you fucked up.

Had lunch at Ogalo yesterday and it was great food. There were alott of tradies there which speaks for itself. The chicken wraps were fantastic and reasonably priced. Others there were rating the burgers to. Definately worth visiting for lunch.

This is a Burger Joint and there are a number of shops around the City. Some are franchisee and some onwed by OGalo itself. The Lindfield one is the latest addition and it is a small shop but the quality is there. For a quick bite you must order the Hot Galo Meal, replace the chips with one of the salads for additional one dollar, it is worth it. Ask for extra Chilli as this is the trademark Portuguese Sauce full or Chili (so it is hot!), Ginger and Garlic. The Roast Chicken Butterfly style with Chilli or the Garlic Sauce is also an excellent option. Not better Portuguese Chilli Burgers in Sydney.

Nothing out of the ordinary, but the burgers, wraps and chips hit the spot when turning up with a bunch of hungry boys. The staff were pretty nice too.

I've given this place two chances so far so what I write is well considered and not just a rant. I thought I'd give them a second go and when I did I was again greatly disappointed to the point of demanding my money back. Nearly $20 bucks spent on a shocking burger and white fries. Dripping with fat & made of cheap ingredients. Doused in mayonnaise, margarine - you name it. Where was the meat?? Could hardly find the meat and when I did it looked like a small patty you'd buy on special at Coles. The buns are weak. Puncture a hole in one the minute you pick it up. Chips you could do better by yourself at home. Just buy a pack of birdseye chips instead. They are uncooked, un-crisp. The bloke who works here is friendly so when he's around it seems to work ok but the second time I came, the female staff greeted me with no smile and failed to listen to my order which I explained twice to them. They got the order wrong. The didn't seem to have any english difficulties so why did you get the order wrong?? Nup! Not good enough! Also, deliver service with a smile please. We are paying you so make it a half decent experience for your patrons. No I am not being unreasonable. I told ya I gave you 2 chances but for the benefit of others out there I will never dine here again. Don't waste your money people. Go to maccas instead. This place truly sucks. A try hard version of Nando's which is on the cheap and has clearly failed.
