The fine dining room at Salishan is much improved. The service was gracious and efficient, without being rushed. The menu focuses on just a few mains, but with a range of options that would satisfy almost everyone. It's upscale, but not pretentious. The seats are cushioned and comfortable, the tables are well-spaced, and the noise level is low. We had the lamb shank special. It was tender and tasty, with an intense r... View all feedback.
What C T doesn't like about The Dining Room:
This is a review for the Attic room. We've been staying at Salishan for 25+ years. Previously the Attic room was a bar with a small bites menu. Under the current ownership this is now an alternative restaurant to the Bay House. Because this room has been a bar, the lighting is dim. Many of us used our phones to read the menu. We ended up splitting a pizza and found it delicious. I wished tugs menu had a few more appe... View all feedback.
My three friends and I had a fantastic experience here. Lori greeted us and was very informative and warm. Andrea was our server, she was wonderful and attentive. They both checked on us several times throughout the night. The views from our table were wonderful. We received delicious complimentary bruschetta with huckleberry mustard and homemade ricotta and nine warm pretzels with the best cherry and rosemary butter I have ever had. Our food came 40 minutes after we ordered it. The chicken was very juicy and the gnocchi was exceptional for only $17. Desert came quickly and although portions were small, they were incredibly good. We spent $151, before the $45 tip, for the richest meal and the best service I've had in a long time.

The seats are cushioned and comfortable, the tables are well-spaced, and the noise level is low. We had the lamb shank special. It was tender and tasty, with an intense reduction sauce. It came with a large serving of fresh-cooked vegetables--unusual in many fine-dining restaurants, and nice polenta. There's a mega-wine list, but I suspect most customers will choose from the by-the-glass options. We're happy we have it another try, after some years of staying away.
Well, Salishan made some dining changes that I 'm not Pleased about. My wife and I come here regularly and enjoy it very much. But Salishan decided to serve meals in only one restaurant at a time. Breakfast in the Sunroom, Lunch in the Attic Bar and dinner in their fine restaurant. Every time we 've come here we enjoyed dinner in either the Sunroom or the dining room. We had a big lunch earlier so only wanted something smaller in the Sunroom only to find out that it 's only open for breakfast. Big mistake. So you 're forced to eat in the dining room and have a $40 dinner per person. Food in the dining room is just OK. Way too many sauces and pretty garnishes. I had clam fettuccine that was so salty I drank four glasses of water. My wife had turkey leg with super salty brown gravy. I think when you stay in a nice hotel, you should have dining options and the closing of the sun room for dinner was a HUGE disappointment. Maybe one of the other 4 total entree choices would have been better, but I wasn 't a fan of the ones we made.
We just had dinner at Salishan resort and it was the worst meal I have had in a long time. The service was terrible it took almost an hour to get our food. My friend ordered the chicken and it came with the skin on it, gross. I ordered a sandwich that came with mayo instead of pesto aioli, when I complained I was told that is their aoili. Very expensive and not worth it
