Description

Tico's, a Lincoln classic since the 70s, offers a mixed bag of experiences according to recent reviews. While some diners find the food to be okay with standout items like the vegetarian burrito and grilled chicken cream cheese enchiladas, others have criticized the slow service and underwhelming dishes like the chicken chimichanga and guacamole. The margaritas seem to be a consistent hit, with some patrons praising their flavor and strength. The restaurant's retro aesthetic and reasonable prices are also highlighted as positive aspects. Overall, Tico's seems to be a solid choice for Tex-Mex cuisine in Lincoln, but with competition in the area, some may opt for other options.

The highlight of Chico's is definitely their chips, salsa, and queso. The atmosphere is fantastic; I really enjoy the skylights and the lamps. The service was excellent — my drink was always full, and the food arrived quickly. I ordered an enchilada while my friend had a burrito. Surprisingly, neither of us enjoyed our meals. Typically, Mexican food is bursting with flavor, but our dishes were quite bland. While I'm not usually concerned about presentation since you're there to eat, in this case, the food didn’t look very appetizing either. I encourage you to give it a try and hope you have a much better experience than we did.

I had a great experience at Ticos after not dining there for over 20 years. The food was outstanding—definitely the best I've had in Lincoln. I ordered the Ticorrito, which was packed with flavor and served in a generous portion. I rated it 4 out of 5 stars because of the chips and salsa; Ticos offers a unique twist with their heavily seasoned fried chips. The service was excellent too.

I used to visit this restaurant frequently when I lived in Lincoln, but it's been about eight years since I last ate here. I've always enjoyed Ticos, and it certainly lived up to my memories this time. I ordered the Enchilada Torte, just like I have on numerous occasions before, and it was just as delicious as I remembered. The service was fantastic, as always. This place remains one of the standout restaurants in Lincoln. I absolutely love it!

The steak fajitas were absolutely delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance made it a fantastic spot to enjoy Mexican cuisine.

They will forget food if you do delivery. Happened twice in a row. I'd honestly just avoid the restaurant altogether. The food is mediocre and they'll get your order wrong anyways.
