Was Noemie Klocko at The Old Ormsby Schoolhouse a mag?
This tea room not only has good food but the whole experience is worth the visit. There is a lot of history that is shared by the staff. Lunch was delightful, served in a quaint fashion. Sandwich tray has delicate little sandwiches, cut into shapes, order is placed on a chalk board by visitor, all food is home made. Endless kinds of tea available, served in a china teapot & cup & saucer. Our second visit included 2 m... View all feedback.

A beautiful surprise inside an old school house. Fine china tea cups and silverware sets a welcoming table. Time to slow down and enjoy a cup of tea they way it was meant to be. Fabulous homemade soup and scones warm to the touch. Schoolhouse books, piano and benches give this room the "way back when" feeling. You will not be disappointed in the service and high tea menu. All orders, of course written on small chalkboards.

I visit the teahouse several times a year. The food is amazing particularly the full tea that includes tiny sandwiches, pickles, a scone with cream and preserves, and the best carrot cake ever. The soups are to die for. At Christmastime don't miss the Dickensian evening. Dinner is served by lantern light and the dvening is rounded out by listening to Dickens' A Christmas Carol as performed by Orson Welles' theatre group.

We recently had lunch at the Old School House Tea House with another couple and just had a wonderful experience. We each tried a different flavour of tea and omg! What aroma and taste. The butter nut squash soup was a delicious start to lunch follow by fantastic fresh sandwiches. Just like you would expect at High Tea. The atmosphere was great, you're actually in an old schoolroom with all of the decor. A hidden gem!

I was pleasantly surprised to discover this hidden gem. I booked a reservation here to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday.

In August, I visited this restaurant with a friend. Every year, we choose a tea house to visit and enjoy high tea, and we were thrilled to discover this hidden gem. The historic school house adds an interesting touch to the charming tea service. I have dietary restrictions for gluten and dairy, which I mentioned when making the reservation. They were accommodating and used my own gluten-free bread to create a personalized sandwich tray for me. I was surprised to find that they had also prepared gluten-free cupcakes, crackers, and plenty of fruit for me on the other trays, all of which were delicious. I didn't feel like I was missing out at all. Unlike most restaurants, they didn't make me feel like a burden or charge me extra. My friend, who doesn't have any dietary restrictions, was equally impressed with her trays. The service was friendly and attentive, and the owner even took the time to chat with us and answer our questions. It felt like a step back in time to a more gracious world. This place is definitely worth a visit.
