The atmosphere was pleasant and laid-back, and the waitress was very friendly. The menu offered an excellent variety, and the food was tasty with generous portion sizes.

It was juicy and cooked to perfection, featuring locally sourced crab. Unfortunately, I was let down by my sirloin steak. It lacked any char or caramelization, had tough fat and gristle, and tasted like it had been boiled instead of fried or grilled. It also missed flavor and seemed under-aged. The dessert was passable. Despite my disappointing steak, other diners looked pleased with their starters and main courses, so perhaps it was just an off night for the steak. I returned for breakfast and enjoyed a delicious full Irish breakfast that was cooked just right.

The food and service were great (bar 1 waitress who seemed quite unknowledgeable and inexperienced and was quickly removed from waiting on our table after I complained). The menu was quite varied and our party of 8 had no problem finding dishes to choose from. The restaurant setting is really nice too. We were seated at a table by a window and had a lovely view of the city lit up at night. There was a large hen party in the restaurant the same night so we were quite concerned about that but they were in another section and they didn't take over the place space wise or noise wise. After dinner we went next door to the bar for a drink and that too is a lovely setting with views on the river. My family and I really enjoyed the evening and hope to go back again soon.
