The thing about Freddies is, they rarely venture too far from what works on their present menu and it works. They have confidence in the offering and this is their niche area, quality of down to earth service and food. The interior is a historical space with attractive roof beams and cosy atmosphere, as the table sittings grow with the evening. I ordered the Duck Pate, followed by the Lamb Shank. For special moments, this is a setting I would suggest to try.

The staff were just so pleasant and the drinks menu is extensive something for everyone in this beautifully appointed restaurant with dark and cosy interiors!
