My husband and I went to this restaurant tonight on 18/05/18 for the buffet meal. The two waitresses were very friendly and the food was good. However, after we... read more My husband and I went to this restaurant tonight on 18/05/18 for the buffet meal. The two waitresses were very friendly and the food was good. However, after we finished our meal, a male waiter had to check the temperature of the food. He did this by double dipping in two dishes and removing them from display. The waiter then tested the other 5 hot dishes and starters by sticking his finger in each of them and wiping them on his trousers. We complained to the head waitress and manager, who admitted that it was unacceptable hygiene practices. They promised to retrain the waiter in food hygiene practices. The waiter appeared and the manager talked to him, but he claimed he didn't know they had probes and didn't know how to use them to take temperatures. As someone in the catering trade, I will not be dining here again.

Recently, I tried the new lunch menu that features English cuisine. I ordered the chilli chicken penne pasta, garlic fries, and a coke for just £5.95! The portions were generous and the staff, as always, were very polite and helpful.
