This is a nice restaurant, as others in Lima, but it has special plates I like too much, like Fettuccini en salsa de huancaina, Gnochis anticucheros, Pescado Crocante, Lomo Saltado, Tequeños de Lomo Saltado and so on. A must are the desserts, like Chesse cake toblerone, Copa de Chirimoya. It is located in a business area, not so far from downtown, it has a parking lot. I ate at El Grifo two years ago and it was truly amazing. Two years or so ago it won the best lomo saltado award. I went back in June of 2014 and unfortunately the quality of lomo saltado has gone down. There are much better places to eat lomo saltado, when I go make I will skip this place and start my search for the best lomo saltado all over again. I ate at El Grifo Jockey Plaza for the first time last December. It was our farewell lunch with the family. I advice you to get there early because this place gets packed after 1:00 pm for lunch. The food is really good and they have tasty and well prepared Pisco sours. By the way, they are really strong so be careful. I had the tasty Huancaina spaghetti with tenderloin. It was very tasty. My husband ordered a pumpkin soup that was to die for and Seco de carne. They atmosphere is really good but the service could be slow, I guess it was like that because it was almost the end of the year and the restaurant was very busy. Overall, it was a great experience, I recomend going there.
Met there with a group of 6 people for a quick business lunch... we asked for some typical peruvian food (tiraditos, tequeños, causas,, to share... and a jar of chicha morada (had to change this because it was fermented... ... food is average but good taste, say you can find better extreme examples of price-quality ratio... all in all it is a good place when you are short of time....
Su Fetuccini a la huancaina con lomo 101% recomendable.
Fuimos con mi mami a la sede de Colonial y nos atendieron excelente, la comida sabrosa.
