I really wanted to like this place, but they made everything in their hands to make an special night out in Peru an uncomfortable experience. We made a reservation for two in the “Dining Room” area as per their reservations website. When we got there, they seated us in some sort of warehouse for a plant nursery with uralite ceiling and walls that didn’t go all the way up, on a rainy night ! even though there are available tables in the area we had originally requested. We really didn’t want to eat in that section, so requested a couple times to be reseated, but the ladies there were rather dismissive and tbh, rude. We finally got moved to a different table high table, another regular one still available but they really wouldn’t give it to us and they made a point to tell us that it was for six people and were losing business, even though the table in the warehouse was the same size. We ordered a few plates to share and tried ordering their angus, but the waiter told us that it was minimum 1kg is it? Please let me know and that it took over an hour to make it and not to order it; mind you, not in a friendly way, but in a “don’t waste our time” way, even though we didn’t mind waiting. We ended up not ordering the angus because we though his reply was too bizarre. After ordering other things, we asked if it’d be enough for two, and he said yes, and suggested that we should also order the bread, which we did. No need to say that the food was enough for about four people and it was just the two of us. I find that terrible and wasteful in this day and age. The food was decent, but truth be told, nothing to write home about, which I find happens too often in the LATAM’s 50’s Best restaurants list and the extended 100, in which Cosme was #69. And before you say you can’t request where you want to be seated, how come there’s three options listed on your reservations platform!? Before you reply, take into consideration that you shouldn’t take a client’s point of view and experience as an attack, just as an opportunity to learn from it.

The people serving at the table don’t have any education or experience about it and the music so loudly give me the impression to be in a cheap bar outside the city! It’s really a pity! I suggest to the owner to improve the service because the food great!

We reserved a table onl... read more Cosme was one of the restaurants recommended by a Peruvian friend. That's why we decided to come here for dinner at one of our evenings. We reserved a table online that was a quick and smooth process. Drinks and food are good. Nothing excellent, but good (4 out of 5 points). But what really annoying in this restaurant was the temperature. It's freezing!! Every one wore a winter jacket at dinner. We had sweaters and were pretty cold. This explains the overall assessment of 3 points instead of 4 points. If you go, make sure to dress up warm.
