I arrived in the afternoon in Li... read more It's a nice airport and employees were helpful. I know these are confusing days all over but nevertheless I have my experience. I arrived in the afternoon in Lima and had a flight to Cusco for the next day. They said I had no choice but to go through immigration (which went smooth) but then I found myself on the street. Because of the virus situation they said I wouldn't be able to return before the morning. Then I checked transportation solutions, in order to take a room somewhere, to discover I wouldn't have a way back so early in the morning. In the end I was recommended to sleep on the street near the cops (good I had a sleeping bag with me), which, a few hours in, told me to change locations. I guess they had some sympathy because instead of someone woke me up around midnight to let me in with a whole other bunch of people. But my surprises were not over. After coming back in I was very thirsty and I looked for a drink. After asking an employee I was astonished to realize there are no water fountains in the airport, neither any machines. My only option, she said is to wait hours, until shops reopen in the morning. Public transportation to an airport and drinking possibilities should be a must in my opinion.
