Was Agustín Rivero at AlmaZen a mag?
Tops on my list. Service excellent. Food was vegan delicious. Waitress spoke perfect English, she was so nice and friendly. She gave us tips on taking taxis and directions to a popular place to visit, when we asked. We have three days remaining on our visit and we will return. The Bio Verde rates with the best vegan restaurants we have ever found. View all feedback.
What Benjamín López dislikes about AlmaZen:
Thought we had found a perfect oasis of healthy, delicious food. Ordered soup of the day, which was 14s for a mugful, a complete rip off. My partner ordered a choco chai and was told she could have it cold with brazil nut milk. It came out hot with rice milk and when we pointed out the mix up they just took it back and left it to cool on the counter before serving the same drink again without changing the order. Left... With so many restaurants just adding the words, "vegan options" to their descriptions now, it is nice when one finds a true vegan restaurant. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the name of this restaurant is now Bio-Verde. The food here is excellent and very nicely presented. It does come at a price though. A little more than the other vegan restaurants I found in Lima. You do gget to enjoy your meal in a very clean and nicely appointed restaurant though. The desserts are wonderful. It is worth treating yourself here to one of them.
First - AlmaZen no longer exists. Bio Verde is the name - who knows, it may not even be the same people, but it's close. It's situated diagonally across the street and down the block a few buildings. In the 7 days we spent in Lima we ate here 3 times. If you appreciate delicious Vegan food, then this is the place for you in Lima. Our waitress spoke great English and she helped us get around Lima with her advise. Other staff were a bit challenged with their English, however we managed quite well.

The atmosphere is cosy and friendly. I went with friends and it felt like spending time in a friends home. The staff are friendly and the food is fresh. The menu changes constantly, so while I can't guarantee I will be able to have "a favorite" I can look forward to having something new and inspiring.

Left feeling very put out. Avoid at all costs.
