Nice restaurant, opens late, easy to find and staff are friendly. Not as cheap as people here say but maybe my budget is just tighter. Don't recommend eating in at night as the ambiance is a bit depressing. Better take out at night and they offer a 10% discount on take away. I imagine it to be better during midday. They have cheaper menus for lunch. View all feedback.
What Adélaïde Goncalves doesn't like about Kyoto:
We passed by this restaurant and saw that it was full. Luckily we still got a place. Tables were very packed together and left not much space for the waitresses to pass by. My eel rice was not superb but up to a good quality standard. The sushi were fresh too. For Japanese food, the price was very reasonable. All menus came with miso soup and salad. We like sushi and are very surprised about the food. Good prices en a good taste. It's fresh and nice served.
This place is very close to the Lille Flandre train station and it provides quick and reasonably good sushi. We were here for lunch. No idea how well it does in the evening, but for lunch it was packed.Service was ... Chinese. The people working there (perhaps the owners, no idea) are Chinese and the service reminded me of a trip to China. Quite nice people, but perhaps not service minded in the same way westerners are. But very honest and the lady obviously had fun in her job.Food was quick, and reasonably good. Not the best sushi I've had, but a good lunch sushi. The roasted meat was ... not so good (we ordered a menu that had some roasted meat satés with it).Stick to the sushi and sashimi and you should be absolutely OK here for lunch.
Good variety of sushi menus for lunch at an affordable price. Salmon sashimi was very good as well as salmon-advocat makis. Niguiris could be improved.
