Really great but it's just another sandwich shop.
Starving and in a hurry to catch our train we decided to stop at Bagelstein with all the weary skepticism of New Yorkers. We were greeted with a happy smile and true interest on revealing ourselves as from the home of the bagel. I ordered the one with lox and the works, a staple for me back home. The bagel was more like a piece of French bread in bagel clothing, no less delicious because of it. The accoutrement were delicious and I was very happy with my choice. So was everyone else in the group. You could do far worse than stop by here, although 4 stars and not 5 since delicious or not, it really isn't a bagel.
