From the start the service was surly and dismiss... read more Despite eating out regularly this is my first tripadvisor post. That should reflect my experience at A Taaable. From the start the service was surly and dismissive. When our steak arrived an hour after ordering it was extremely over cooked despite us asking for medium. This was not a language mistranslation. We returned it. Then 20 mins later replacements admittedly larger arrived barely any more pink. I had lost the will to complain again so didn’t. We paid and left. Lille offers so much better than this so I’d recommend trying elsewhere.

We took... read more We had a great experience the waitress was new but she was very helpful with fairly good English. The food was simple but delicious and in big portion. We took the homemade terrine and the cheese pastry and it was very nice. Then we shared the carbonnade and mussels with fries. The carbonnade was good, and the mussels were great, the homage fries, delicious !! Dessert we had the crème brûlée that sadly was curdle. The Paris Brest Lille style was really good with the speculos flavour. And I loved the chocolate mousse.
