National Fish and Chips Day, came down to Oysters this afternoon to celebrate national fish and chips day with my family, the service from start to finish was top quality and so was the food we ordered, quick and efficient service and amazing quality food from the team at Oysters, service with a smile and created a real atmosphere on the high street, fish and chips is struggling with food inflation and in decline, however these guys at Oysters are somehow bucking the trend, Fairplay to them. I hate giving a negative review and We normally love Oysters fish and chips. However part of our order last night was very disappointing. One of our orders was for a kids fish and chips. The fish portion was really tiny and very dry and there were very few chips. Also the drink was missing. At over £5.00 we would have expected more. Usually very good, sometimes when it's busy I've noticed the quality dips a bit but generally it's the best fish and chips locally. I really appreciate the haddock is apparently line caught. Mushy peas are ok but pea fritter is the bomb! Huge potions. Nice and crispy batter, slightly oily, very indulgent Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
