The Seed - Lighthouse Point
The Seed
Description
Nestled in a charming plaza at Lighthouse Point, The Seed LHP presents itself as an inviting coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere and a warm staff. While many patrons rave about delicious pastries from Tartastic and some standout drinks like the chagacino, others express disappointment regarding the coffee quality compared to its Boca counterpart. Service inconsistencies have also been noted, as some customers felt neglected despite being among the few present. Overall, this establishment has potential, but hopes remain high for improvements in both coffee excellence and customer engagement to truly match the legacy of its renowned predecessor.

The chagacino with almond milk is absolutely fantastic! The bagel bomb is delicious too! The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Although Google Maps suggests it as being “similar to Starbucks,” I would say it’s completely different—this place is far better!
This is a lovely coffee shop situated in a plaza at Lighthouse Point. I stopped by for a quick coffee and took a look at the menu. I will definitely come back to try more items!
Fantastic spot! I really enjoy the atmosphere and the staff is super friendly! My only suggestion is that it was quite cold inside. Other than that, it's a wonderful place! I'll definitely return with a sweater.
Disappointing visit. I love coffee shops and I love to support our independents. We were 2 guests (the only 2 when we arrived) and there were 2 staff. We placed our $25 order. The register asks for a tip and considers 18% to be in return for “terrible service” even though by this point, you’ve received no service. We took a seat up front by the window. When our coffees were ready the barista shouted from the back of the store to the front of the store “one cappuccino, one cortado”. Why, especially at a quiet time, wouldn’t they bring the drinks over and maybe even engage with new customers? Also disappointed that the coffee was served in wasteful paper takeout cups when we’d said we were staying in.5 minutes later… “quiche and soufflé”. Got up and fetched our food. Not a word from the staff. The 18% tip option for “terrible service” now seemed too generous. Beyond the most basic preparing the food and drinks, there was no service.Nobody checked if we enjoyed our food and drink. When we left nobody attempted to say goodbye, thanks or hope to see you soon. The store was empty when we left.I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I hope the owner can use this feedback to improve.
