We wer... read more What a gem und unexpected find. During a road trip we briefly stopped in the capital of East Tyrol in Austria and as always, hoped to find a decent meal. We were more than delighted when we, by chance, stumbled across the "Cafe Genusswerk". If your travels lead you through Lienz during mealtimes, you won't go wrong stopping by this restaurant. It's minutes away by foot from the center of town and the pedestrian zone. During the summer months you can enjoy your meal in the lovely, sheltered garden. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Benjamin who was most cognizant of the poor quality of meat raised in feedlots in the US. Chef Benjamin knows quality ingredients and sources locally. All three of us were delighted with our food and drinks (freshly squeezed). Enjoy!
