Van der Valk Sélys Liège is a romantic hotel with a beautiful spa in the centre of Liège, with lovely rooms, an excellent restaurant, and friendly helpful staff.

The hotel makes a very high impression, is great furnished and offers pleasant comfort. Breakfast left no wishes open and was great. The location and the hotel was impressive, something you don't see every day. Liège is a truly worth seeing city, with a fantastic nightlife that seeks its same. Only 2 days before arrival we were told that the wellness area is closed due to renovation work. You know that early. We were very disappointed about this, especially since no discount was granted on demand. The staff present at Hauf constantly gave us puzzles. They ran back and forth, but no one really took care of the guests. You had to literally beg several people to be provided with drinks on the beautiful terraces. Everything seemed to be very unorganized. We witnessed twice how older people stumbled very badly over a misplaced umbrella stand. Luckily, the guests helped, because even here some employees did not feel competent and it took until a boss was finally in place. The hotel would be very well advised to train its staff in hospitality and service.

Not often, that i give 5 stars but here it fits. Smiles everywhere, nice rooms, nice Spa, nice breakfast (even though they have no idea about how to treat bacon). Sky bar is not sky but perfect!

It's just perfect here. Nice cozy lobby and hotel bar. Cuddly atmosphere with cozy absolutely clean and well maintained rooms, great varied breakfast and super central but quiet location. The whole thing in a chic building where old and new building materials were joined together tastefully. We like to come back....
